Tobacco is a heat-loving crop.
Tobacco can tolerate autumn temperature drops down to +2...+3°C.
Tobacco is a light-loving, long-day plant. The best soils for growing tobacco are light, loose, pebbly-gravelly structural soils, cultivated podzolic and gray podzolized soils, as well as sierozems with a low humus content.
Agrotechnical features: sowing April 1-10, planting seedlings June 10-15, harvesting August 1-30, planting pattern 60 x 20 cm.
Qualitative characteristics: nicotine content in the leaves is 2.0-2.1%.
Use: recommended for cigarettes and smoking pipes.
